6 easy ways to get outdoors and enjoy the summer sunshine.

Take it outside.

Spending at least 120 minutes outside in nature each week can boost your health and well-being significantly in a number of ways. That’s less than 20 minutes a day, if you want to break it up that way. Going outdoors doesn’t have to mean coating your nose with zinc to go white-water kayaking. Here’s 6 easy ways to go enjoy the summer sunshine and rack up those 120 healthy minutes.

Have a backyard BBQ.

Getting outdoors starts in your own backyard. Heat up your grill, pop a few of our JUST Egg Folded on the grates and cook for 3 minutes each side – then stack up the ultimate summer breakfast sandwich or burger.

Dine al fresco.

Bring your morning coffee and toast out to that back patio you don’t use enough, or take the outdoor table at your favorite restaurant. Here’s our list of JUST Egg restaurant partners to inspire your next reservation.

Have a picnic.

Post up at your favorite park and invite your friends for a potluck meal. If you were to invite us, we’re bringing our lightened-up egg salad, a platter of cool, crunchy kimbap rolls and some tomato sandwiches because summer tomatoes are crazy good.

Go for a hike.

If you’re not sure where to start, AllTrails makes it easy to see what hikes are nearby. And don’t forget to fuel up – pack yourself really good burrito or Scott Jurek’s 100 Mile Sandwich (even if it’s a 1 Mile Sandwich kind of day.)

Go camping.

We’ve got a few campfire cooking hacks to inspire you. If setting up a tent just isn't your thing, check out our friends at AutoCamp – they make it easy and comfortable to enjoy the most beautiful outdoor spots.

Volunteer!

Look up local organizations that do habitat clean-ups, tree planting, community garden work or trail maintenance. You’ll get to enjoy both being outside and spending time with other people who give a damn about our planet.
